Foundation of

CRESCENTROUBY

Mr. Crescent Rouby establishes his company in Cognac (16), specializing in locksmithing, metalwork and structural engineering. Early projects include the manufacture of feeder boxes and superstructures for the glass industry.

1976

New plant

ROUBYINDUSTRIE

The company sets up shop in Châteaubernard, entering the boilermaking business. Its activities encompass industrial maintenance for local plants, notably cardboard factories, glassworks, quarries and handling facilities, though it truly specializes in the glass industry(furnace reinforcement, machine walkways, chutes, etc.).Châteaubernard, Charente, France

Ideatec

Founded in 1982 in La Couronne, Charente (16), IDEATEC is an expert in the design and manufacture of automation equipment for the storage, distribution, orientation, transport, handling and assembly of parts.

1987

CRESCENT ROUBY becomes GROUPE ROUBY

Crescent Rouby is transformed into a holding company to facilitate external growth, creates move that also results in the foundation of the Rouby Group.

ROUBY INDUSTRIE

CRESCENT ROUBY sells its industrial facilities to ROUBY INDUSTRIE, based in Châteaubernard (16).

Acquisition of

SinexIndustry

IDEATEC and the CRESCENT ROUBY Group take over SINEX SA, based in St-Yrieix-sur-Charente (16). The company is renamed SINEX INDUSTRIE.

1989

Foundation of

IDEMECA

Founded in 1989 in La Couronne, Charente (16), IDEMECA specializes in general and precision mechanics. Owned by IDEATEC and based on the same site in Charente, IDEMECA safeguards our responsiveness in the machining sector.

1991

Acquisition of

PATEAUMÉTALLERIE

PATEAU METALLERIE, based in SAINTES, Charente-Maritime (17), specializes in steelworking.Its acquisition provides a platform for external growth in the AQUITAINE region (Charente-Maritime, Charente, Deux-Sèvres, Gironde).

1997

Foundation of

TÉMI INDUSTRIE

A competitor to ROUBY INDUSTRIE, TEMI initially absorbed ROUBY’s glass business.In 2016, TEMI was then sold to a group based in North Valenciennes (59) so that ROUBY could accelerate its development in the hydrology sector.

2006

Acquisition of

Chauvin

CHAUVIN designs and manufactures customized vibratory equipment for screening and sifting, and is based in Saint-Jean de Moirans (38).Its acquisition completes SINEX's range of vibratory machines, with strong potential for synergy between the two companies.

2016

New factory for

ROUBYINDUSTRIE

Rouby Industrie’s new production site is twice the size of its predecessor, allowing the company to expand its workforce from 60 to 90 employees.The company's main activities are hydrology, the manufacture of racks for the Cognac cellars, and boilermaking subcontracting for its subsidiaries.Salles d'Angles, Charente, France

CHAUVIN

The Isère-based company moves into new premises in Saint-Jean de Moirans, with 2,250 m² of production spaceand 750 m² of offices.

2020

Acquisition of

ERMAC

The Group’s latest acquisition, ERMAC is an installer of turnkey production lines.This makes the Colombes-based company (38) of the perfect addition to the sectors served by SINEX and CHAUVIN.

2021

New

sinex plant

New premises in Saint-Yrieix with 2,280 m² of production space and 850 m² of offices, built to supportthe company's growth.

Extension for the

IDEATECPLANT

Building extension and modernization work, including the creation of a dedicated space for our Management team.
