A word from our

Chairman

The Rouby Group has been growing continuously for over half a century in a variety of niche markets, all of which a heavily reliant on technical expertise. For many years, our historic motto, “Vivons heureux, vivons cachés” (“A quiet life is a happy life”), suited us very well.

But times change; new generations evolve, and with them has come a natural need for us to open up to the outside world. There’s certainly no denying we have a lot to share. But where many companies tend toward superficiality and excess, we prefer high-quality, truthful communication.

Our family-owned industrial group is made up of seven independent, complementary companies. It is built on a foundation of shared values: commitment, competence, respect and teamwork. Over the last seven decades, these have evolved naturally to become our guiding principles.

All our companies are project-based. Whenever a new project comes in, we consider it first and foremost from a technical perspective. We integrate as much added value as possible to ensure maximum control over our projects, offering services such as design, construction, commissioning and repair. As a result, we barely ever need to subcontract outside of our Group, and are able to ensure strict compliance with trade regulations and standards while also honing our in-house skills to expert levels.

This degree of mastery is also enhanced by the entrepreneurial spirit that drives our teams: their desire for new challenges, thirst for innovation, and pride in a job well done. Like our motto says, we are a true “fusion of excellence” at every level from our Group companies to the men and women who, day after day, humbly step out of their comfort zones to push the boundaries of what they can do. I can't thank these people enough for the pride they take in their work – a pride that commands the respect of our customers, unites our teams, and is passed on like a torch from one generation to the next.

This handing down of expertise is hugely important to us. We make a conscious effort to be involved in local associations, monitor the training progress of our younger employees and, above all, play an active role in the development of our local boilermaking school. Mastering the basics is essential to achieving the standards of excellence we aim for.

After more than half a century together, I can happily say that the modern Rouby Group is on the right course, thanks to the solidity of our foundations and the complementarity nature of our network. These two major assets will help us as we continue to adapt to changes in our environment and grow in emerging markets, both in France and abroad.

Our areas of expertise

Our Major

Challenges

For several generations, our Group has been committed to sharing knowledge and learning, passing our expertise on from one employee to the next. Given our history, it's essential that we maintain this spirit.

We are constantly leaning on our industrial know-how as we analyze, decide on and build the best practices for our future. Just as our customers are always evolving, we adapt to match their ambitions.
But our companies don’t just pass on their knowledge internally. We believe that curiosity and the ability to implement new ideas and practices are of the utmost importance to our organization as a whole.

With that in mind, we set up committees dedicated to innovation issues, and are always exploring new ways to improve our day-to-day lives, such as automation processes, artificial intelligence, and faster processing times.
We strive to create balance in our internal and external relationships.

Hard work has always played an important role in helping our Group to thrive. But we are also committed to raising awareness and maintaining a balance between the needs of our businesses and the homes of the people whose work they are built on.

We regularly ask our customers about their practices, expectations and challenges so that we can adapt and respond more effectively, and make our collaborations sustainable.

Finally, we make a point of adopting the most environmentally-friendly practices, prioritizing to recycling and actions with the lowest carbon impact.
We stand for quality and high standards, and we want to make this a focus of our development.

To showcase our teams and our expertise, we aim to be a benchmark player in our fields, both in our home market and beyond.
